My hair was shoulder length until last weekend, when I cut another two inches off and razored more layers into it. I have a habit of doing this every few months and feel more like myself with shorter hair. Unfortunately, short and wispy layers don’t like to stay pulled back during my workouts. As of last week, I was able to wear a thin headband and throw my hair into a ponytail. I now have to carefully tuck the shorter pieces into a thick headband and maybe add some bobby pins.
I already have a favorite thick headband (see below) but thought it might be a good idea to buy a few more, if I’ll be wearing them about five times per week. Since my half marathon training officially starts soon, I turned to some serious runners on Twitter to ask them what headbands they wear on long runs.
