I feel unbelievably blessed for the family, friends, and opportunities that have been part of my 2013. I’m especially thankful for the firsts that happened this year.
To name a few: My first trip to Sundance Film Festival in January. My first time speaking at a career conference at Elon University, plus my first day of work at 360i in February. My first time helping to organize a short film premier in March. My first headshot photo shoot in April. My first time surprising my mom for Mother’s Day in South Carolina in May. My first indoor cycling class in June. My first trip to Rhode Island and 25th birthday in July. My first night in my new apartment and first blog post in August. My first time helping to run a leadership conference, as well as my first cooking lesson in September. My first post-grad trip to D.C. and trying indoor rock climbing in October. My first half marathon registration in November. And my first time training for an endurance event (I’m up to a 10K distance!) in December.
Of course, this year also had its challenges. But the positives stand out far more than the negatives. I’m eager to see what 2014 holds for me, and I wish you the very best in the coming year.
Now, throw on some sequins and red lipstick. It’s time to pop the bubbly.
