Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to attend Reebok’s Ride the Runway NYFW event at the new Reebok Fithub Union Square. Earlier in the week, Reebok sent me an outfit to wear to the event. Both the Graphic Tank and Strappy Bra have unique mesh inserts and feminine cuts. The Fitted Capri is thicker than many pairs I own but also stretches to fit my curves–new staple for my fitness wardrobe! And the ZQuick Electrify shoes were great to wear to and from the spin workout. They’re lightweight, cushioned, and use NanoBreeze technology to keep your feet cool.
The purpose of the event was to give an exclusive sneak peek of Reebok’s 2015 collection, while also featuring Reebok’s current looks. Reebok partnered with Burn This, a NYC-based fitness app that integrates class booking with social networking. I’ve visited the Fithub for one other event, but the space was transformed for NYFW. CYC Fitness taught two spin classes during the event, with bikes lining the runway. Photographers gathered behind the instructor bike at the front of the store. I stood with the photographers for the first ride then got to ride on the front bike for the second. It gave me a perfect view of the end of the runway, as well as the custom LocalLink station that lets you print images on your Reebok gear. It’s my favorite feature of the new store!
I’m so excited for all of you to see what Reebok has in store for 2015. The cuts and colors are very eye-catching, and the collection offers gear for all types of fitness. It was especially fun to watch the fashion show because the models were all fitness instructors, some of which I’ve taken in the past (Dara and Christina). Keep your eyes open in early 2015 for these new looks from Reebok.
