October Goal Reflection: You may remember that I chose not to set a goal for October at the end of September. I was exhausted from keeping up with work, blogging, and training during my busiest month in New York to date. During October, I was just as busy, but it felt different. Rather than keeping a schedule that felt like it was built by everyone but me, I took control. I spent my time doing exactly what I wanted to do. I attended my first blog conference. I visited San Francisco for the first time. I ran my second half marathon. I registered for my first full marathon. I enjoyed dinner dates with five different groups of friends in the last week. I watched one of my best friends run her first full marathon yesterday. Life has been great lately. And I have so much to look forward to in coming months.
November Goal Setting: If you’re following me on Instagram, you know that I’m in full-on marathon training mode. I’m 10 weeks away from running 26.2 miles at Walt Disney World. While I expected to be training on my own (with advice from runner friends), I found out at the end of last week that I’ll be training with a coach over the next 10 weeks. Thank you, Gregg! Jess of Race Pace Wellness will create a custom training plan and race strategy for me, so I’ll be prepared to run my best. My goal for November is to put full trust and full effort into the plan that Jess creates for me. I want to make the most of this coaching opportunity, so that I’m ready to crush 26.2 miles. In Marathon Monday posts, I’ll be sharing my favorite training tips that I learn from Jess.
