I’ve heard a rumor that this might be the last (super) cold spell that New York will see this winter. My legs are longing to run in shorter hemlines, so I hope this doesn’t jinx us. One thing that I’ve been grateful for during this brutal winter, is that I’ve stayed healthy. That’s no easy feat when you live in a major city. Have you read this study about what germs were found in different subway stations? Yuck. I have a strong immune system but was especially hopeful that it would hold out while I was training for a marathon this winter. Running 30+ mile weeks is tough. Doing it while sick is tougher.
If you aren’t feeling your best during these last weeks of winter, Puffs and Vicks NyQuil/DayQuil from Procter & Gamble are here for relief. Puffs offers tissues with lotion and the scent of Vicks to keep your face soft, whether you just ran the outer loop of Central Park or are only walking to the 6 Train. Vicks fights your cold and flu symptoms, so you can recover with a night of quality sleep and wake up feeling ready to take on the next day. From now through March 31, P&G is sponsoring a giveaway with one entrant winning a #ColdandFlu prize pack every day for all 40 days of the giveaway. To enter, tweet a photo using hashtag #NYTough that shows how you stay strong during cold and flu season. You can earn extra entries by visiting Barclay’s Center Station and tagging the location or including a selfie in your post. Here are the official rules. Best of luck!
