Heading to Reach the Beach with New Balance Women

As you read this scheduled post, I’m touring the New Balance Factory, Sports Research Lab, and Innovation Studio in Boston. I’m incredibly excited because I’ve never visited a fitness brand headquarters. In early July, New Balance invited me to run the Reach the Beach Ragnar Relay in New Hampshire with their team, but we’re in Boston until tomorrow. I’ve also never run a Ragnar Relay, so it’s a week of firsts with the invited group of bloggers and editors.

Not familiar with Ragnar Relays? They’re a series of overnight, 200-mile relay races that you run as a team of 12 (or 6, if you’re crazy). One runner races at a time. The other runners follow along in two vans. Everyone races 3 legs of the relay (or 6 for the ultra). This particular Ragnar stretches from the Bretton Woods Ski area, through the White Mountains, and to Hampton Beach State Park. I’ve been told the quaint scenery and changing foliage are spectacular. It’s especially exciting to be running Reach the Beach with New Balance this month because the brand recently launched its full women’s line. The team sent me part of the line to test and to wear during the relay.

With many brands launching a women’s line over the last few years, the New Balance designs had a lot to live up to. They exceeded my expectations. The jewel tone colors, flattering cuts, and sweat-to-street versatility are my favorite features of the gear. My look includes the Water Vapor Printed Capri and the Deepwater Mesh Panel Tank. New Balance also sent the Sea Salt Heat En Route Jacket, Blue Striped Tenderly Obsessive Bra, Ice Short Sleeve, Black Accelerate Short, and Hilite Studio Tank. You can view the entire New Balance Women’s catalogue here. The line will help both everyday and elite athletes constantly improve their game.

I’ll be wearing this gear, along with other New Balance designs, over the next few days. Follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (@evannclingan) to experience the Ragnar relay along with me.

NB is awesome! I love what they’ve been doing to get involved in women’s activewear and they also are heavily involved in the community in Boston. Great to hear of your experience! Also shoutout to your NYU photoshoot – all my classes are in that building :)
