Last September, I ran #Run10Feed10 as my first 10K race. While I missed it in New York this year because I was traveling home from Reach the Beach, I still wanted to get involved. #RUN10FEED10 started in 2012 with the hope of raising money and awareness for the dire hunger problem in America. The concept is simple–run a 10K and feed 10 hungry people in your hometown. Over the last three years, the race has raised enough money to provide 3.75 million meals to Americans in need. To help raise awareness, I’ll be running my own “race” this Saturday by dedicating my 12 miles to the cause. Eddie Bauer kindly sent me this high-performance gear from their Motion Collection to wear while preparing for my own race. Check to see if #Run10Feed10 is visiting your city this fall!

In other race news, I spontaneously registered for SeaWheeze 2016! You can read my 2015 recap here. On the morning of registration (which is 11 months before race day), I casually mentioned wanting to run the race again to some of my blogger friends. Thankfully, they all agreed and made it through the stressful registration process. August 2015 will be a girl party in Vancouver! Meaghan, Amanda, Kristine, Ashley, Theodora, and others will be crashing at an Airbnb (already booked), drinking wine, practicing yoga, and running 13.1 miles.
I’m pleased to announce that I was named an inaugural ClassPass Ambassador! I’ve been a member of the service since it was called the Classtivity Passport in 2013. Yes, that link is to my first blog post ever. It’s made boutique fitness an affordable cross training option for me. Moving forward, I’ll be hosting events, producing content, and sharing the latest in fitness news on behalf of ClassPass. Are you a member? If not, receive a ClassPass discount ($10 off your first month) with my referral.
Finally, I’ll be speaking at the Lovely Happenings fall event on October 10. Lovely Happenings is a series of lifestyle workshop events where guests can enjoy, learn, and be inspired by the aspects of life that they love. I’ll be sharing my tips and tricks on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle while living in a fast-paced city. Hope to see you there!
