Five Fitness Bloggers Share Their Favorite Tights

After receiving positive feedback on my favorite supportive sports bras post two weeks ago, I’ve decided to expand activewear recommendations into a series that focuses on a different piece each month. Rather than choosing all of the recommendations myself, I’ll invite four blogger friends to share their favorites along with me. This month, we’re focusing on tights–a cold-weather staple for anyone who likes to stay active outdoors. Among these ladies, we have marathoners, triathletes, and fitness instructors. We’ve tested these tights through training cycles, on race days, and while teaching classes. If you’re looking to add durable and versatile pieces to your collection before winter arrives, these are our picks. Do you have a favorite tight? Tell us about it!

AMANDA @ Shapin Up
Lululemon Pace Rival Crop ($88) — Sizes: 2-10 / Runs: True to size / Length: “Average, although the cropped pair tends to be just a tad longer than I’d like (I’m 5’2″).” / Compression: Low / Why I Love Them: “I wear these super versatile tights for cycling, yoga, and running. Love the zippered pocket and deep side pockets–ideal for long runs with Gu!”

MEAGHAN @ The Fit Crasher
Lucy Endurance Tight ($89) — Sizes: XS-XL / Runs: True to size / Length: “These are a bit long for someone my height (5’2″). I like these because they are the best fit I’ve found without having loads of extra fabric bunching around my ankle.” / Compression: Low / Why I Love Them: “These tights are on regular rotation as the weather cools–perfect for training or race day. I’m hooked on the mesh venting and pockets.” / Meaghan’s Wearing Them Here

EVANN @ Evann Clingan
Sweaty Betty Trail Thermal Training Tight ($165) — Sizes: XS-XL / Runs: True to size / Length: Average / Compression: Moderate / Why I Love Them: “I wore these tights while training for my first full marathon last winter. They’re incredibly warm and have multiple zipper pockets.” / I’m Wearing Them Here

KAYLA @ Kayla in the City
Lululemon Wunder Under Pant ($98) — Sizes: 2-12 / Runs: “Lululemon sizing can be a bit funky and generally runs small. These are comparable to the rest of their sizing.” / Length: Average / Compression: Moderate / Why I Love Them: “These are my all-in-one pants. I wear them to a yoga, barre, or HIIT class. I change my shirt and shoes, and I’m ready for work, brunch, or going out. ” / Kayla’s Wearing Them Here

SAM @ Catching Dragonfly
Athleta Revelation Tight ($79) — Sizes: XXS-XL / Runs: Slightly small — “If in doubt, I recommend sizing up. I’m typically a size XS in tights. In these, I go with a Small for extra give and comfort.” / Length: Average / Compression: Moderate / Why I Love Them: “I wear these for yoga, barre class, pilates, and chillier fall runs. The sleekness and fit make these great street style tights, as well! ” / Sam’s Wearing Them Here
