Since March, I’ve been partnering with Timex Sport to test and feature their watches. You may have seen some shots of the Sleek 50 and Sleek 150 here, here, and in a few other places. In fact, I’ll be partnering with Timex over the next year to continue trying their latest styles. And you’re in luck! Each quarter, I’ll be hosting a giveaway of one of my new favorites. This month, I’ll be sharing the Sleek 150. Keep reading for more information.
While I focus my training on running, this watch is actually called the IRONMAN Sleek 150. This model is part of the Colors series, which is celebrating three decades of partnership. The watch also features a stopwatch (with 150 lap memory), an interval timer, a target pacer, and hydration alerts. For all of you swimmers, it has 100 meter water resistance. And for those who train before or after work, there is an INDIGLO night light.
One of my favorite features of the Sleek 150 is its Chronograph and Tapscreen Technology. This means that the watch will track intervals for you (whether you’re counting laps or miles) and tell you whether you’re on track for your programmed pace. Any time you complete an interval, you tap the screen to indicate that you’re done. A series of beeps will tell you whether you’re too slow, too fast, or right on. This keeps you from breaking form to have to look down at your screen.
While I’m no longer training for the Brooklyn Half Marathon, I am aiming to run between 15-20 miles per week right now to gradually increase leading up to New York City Marathon training. It’s the perfect time to test new technology between training plans.
Now, you can win a Sleek 150 in the color of your choice. To enter for your chance to win, head over to Instagram to comment on this morning’s photo. A random winner will be announced tomorrow morning. Happy Running!
